It seems that moving openSUSE landing page from wiki, or wiki like server, was not all that good idea, after all.
Robert and me are still following this list and may do the changes anytime, and so can anyone with write permissions in SVN.
OK.
The text on the frontpage can be edited with a text editor without the need to dig through markup: A WYSIWYG editor is implemented.
That one is not clear to me. Why one needs built in WYSIWYG editor for front (landing) page?
May we could use something not self cooked ... we could e.g. easily get an other wordpress instance for the landing-page.
You and few others had a lot of work with custom page layout for our sites. That was another move that with bigger web team would be good idea, but with only few it actually killed contributions. I was sorry, and not once, that wiki has not lighter customization. Little bits that don't work appear to be a huge effort to fix, a lot of diving into few css files to find culprit. At the end I gave up and just reported problems.
Anyone from the boosters willing to take care of the texts?
I'm sure we find some volunteers ;-)
Sure :) I can talk to ambassadors and marketing guys and pick some ideas. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-web+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-web+help@opensuse.org
