From time to time, there are translation bugs in Bugzilla. For example:
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=975794 zypper: bad German translation
How do we want to handle such reports? I've no idea whom I can assign such bugs (esp. now while we are switching to weblate).
FWIW, the way it works in KDE’s Bugzilla is that there is a translation product (called ‘i18n’, which is probably a bad name) with a ‘component’ for each language. Each component has a default assignee, either the translation coordinator for that langauge or a mailing list for the language: https://bugs.kde.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=i18n When someone submits a bug report for a language, the person (or mailing list) responsible for that language is automatically assigned the bug report, and is responsible for fixing the problem. I think this solution works well. The only problem is that product is called ‘i18n’ instead of ‘translations’, so it’s difficult for people to find when submitting bug reports. (And technically, it should be ‘l10n’ not ‘i18n’.) -- Karl Ove Hufthammer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org
