a) better file a bug to opensuse it could related to this system only b) if you have updated only once after working dosemu, you could easily in grub boot menu select the previous kernel. if not, download it and: (from somebody else who wrote me how to do:) ============================================= zypper in kernel-yyyyy-xxxx.rpm That's all. Boot with the new kernel and retest. (The kernel version might be smaller than others, so carefully choose the kernel at GRUB menu.) Maybe you'd better to increase the number of parallel installable kernels by editing /etc/zypp/zypp.conf before installing the new kernel, though. Modify the line "multiversion.kernels" to include more entries, e.g: multiversion.kernels = latest,latest-1,latest-2,latest-3,running Once after testing and confirming whether it's working or not, you can simply delete the new kernel by zypper rm. zypper rm kernel-yyyyyy-xxxx where xxx is the exact version number you want to uninstall. You can see the currently installed kernels by rpm -q kernel-default and copy-and-paste to zypper rm command line above. ================================================= simoN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
