Hello, This is just a notice :-). I never had to use the options on the boot menu of install system (bottom of the screen, right side). I used then today to boot the computer described below (for reference only). To be able to install, I had to change the display to 1366x768. I also changed for "safeboot settings", but I'm pretty sure the display change was the only necessary. Symptom was black screen most of the time when starting install system. so, in fact probably no necessity to edit kernel line manually... jdd I have old netbook entirely AMD based. ASUS 1225N. It have 4Gb ram, I installed a msata 250Gb ssd.
