Go Systemsettings - Startup and shutdown - desktop sessions. After setting this to 'open saved session', you can save the session from the 'Leave' option in the kicker menu.
I've already done that. But the programs in the saved session have session identifiers, which means they save their state on exit and reload it on restart. I don't need nor want that.
