I'm not clear what you're trying to debug. Are you trying to find a bug
in the perl executable, or in a perl program run by the interpreter?

If the latter then use perl's built-in debugger rather than gdb.

$ perl -d prog-name

If the former then what is making it crash? (i.e. what program)


It is a crash in perl. Issue is already halfway fixed.
