What I need to handle is an accidentally installed kernel update that now bogs up additionally installed sources :-(
Thanks for your help,
Susan
If you look under /boot you may still have the older kernel image installed, as well as the updated one. You may be able to edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file, to tell grub to boot the old kernel by default. This may assist you, while trying to sort out the update problem.
