SuSE 9.3, 10 and 10.1 use blowfish by default. Why did you modified this anyway?
I don't know he, but in my case only new users or those that changed password are using blowfish, looking at the shadow file - but my system has been updated all the way from 8.1 - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
