I have been holding off updating to SUSE-10.1 until the new fou4s is out - so hopefully you (and/or your Team) will be able to find the time to deal with the new SUSE rpm "tree".
Hi, I've not updated my laptop to 10.1 yet because it is my main Fou4s development machine. If fou4s doesn't work there, I can't update, and I REALLY want to :) I've made a lot of progress during the last days. Things that were rather "hacked" in old patch descriptions are much more straight-forward now. I can parse XML without any libraries - although it is a very AWKward solution :-) Unfortunately, I can't remove all the legacy stuff. I think it was part of the success of fou4s, that it could be run on any SuSE version, always with the same package. I want to keep it that way - especially because I've had support for older distributions removed in yesterday's version, which of course was not so good for some people ... it's fixed now, although a manual upgrade is needed now - self-updating is broken for those unsupported versions :( (older than 9.0) Yes, some people still use those versions, and even install new packages from time to time ... In those cases, fou4s can bring them to the latest update that was available, even if it is not current any more.
