Hi Marcus,
the problem was that after a kernel update i didn't reboot the machine.
# rpm -q kernel-default
kernel-default-2.6.13-15.8
#uname -a
kernel-default-2.6.13-15.7
Thanks,

Hi list, I am running Suse 10 with the last kernel 2.6.13-15.7-default. I have a problem when running tpcdump i have the following error :
# tcpdump -i eth0 tcpdump: socket: Address family not supported by protocol
I have the same message with iptraf.
In the file /var/log/messages i have found a messages like this : tcpdump uses obsolete (PF_INET,SOCK_PACKET)
Can anyone help me. Thanks.
What kind of device is eth0 ?
Can you run: rpm -q kernel-default uname -a to verify if installed kernel is same as the running kernel?
Ciao, Marcus
