Hi,
Hmm, DVD burning should still work with 9.2. Well, it doesn't unfortunately. CD burning does work. Yesterday I applied the KDE upgrade under ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.2/ to see if it solved another issue (no, unfortunately) but I had this problem before that. SuSE 9.2, kernel 2.6.8-24.5-default, AMD 1800+, 512MB ram. KDE 3.3.1 level "a", K3b 0.11.15cvs, growisofs 5.20
We applied the necessary patches before shipping it. What errors do you see in which program? In K3b, (both before and after the aforementioned KDEupgrade) when attempting to write DVD's: :-( unable to PREVENT MEDIA REMOVAL: Operation not permitted Fatal error at startup: Operation not permitted Unable to eject media
growisofs command: /usr/bin/growisofs -Z /dev/hdd -use-the-force-luke=notray -use-the-force-luke=tty -use-the-force-luke=dao -dvd-compat -speed=4 -gui -graft-points -volid Uebergenic Video Disc -volset -appid -publisher -preparer -sysid -volset-size 1 -volset-seqno 1 -sort /tmp/kde-richard/k3bwxmX5a.tmp -rational-rock -hide-list /tmp/kde-richard/k3b4AAWDb.tmp -full-iso9660-filenames -iso-level 2 -path-list /tmp/kde-richard/k3berUB3a.tmp I'm aware that this isn't very security related, so maybe we should take this to another list. Thanks, richard
