forwarding ports with iptables?

Hi, how would I setup some port forwarding to a machine behind my firewall by hand? the firewall is a SuSE8.0 running susefirewall2. let's say I want to forward some high port to a machine in my private lan, what iptables command would I need? and no, I can't configure that in /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 because: 1. I don't need it that often and 2.
