hi
From: John Long [mailto:jlong@esat.com] Hey,
not sure if this is the correct group - but when i use the command useradd, it creates the user but not the default home directories. When i use webmin, it creates the user along with home dir - any suggestions ?
usage: useradd [-u uid [-o]] [-g group] [-G group,...] [-d home] [-s shell] [-c comment] [-m [-k template]] [-f inactive] [-e expire ] [-p passwd] name useradd -D [-g group] [-b base] [-s shell] [-f inactive] [-e expire ] e.g. useradd -u 15347 -g users -d /home/nosuchuser -s /bin/bash -c "no such user" -m -k /etc/skel -p "S4fg&%klq\"" nosuchuser creates the user nosuchuser with his/her $HOME in /home/nosuchuser (-m for makedir -k for template-dir). for detailed information have a look at man useradd. regards, stefan
