HI MIkkel
there is NO spelling error. I tested it 10 times, even with direct use of pop3 commands and set local_echo on win2k telnet client. The UID of the users is 500+. So no mistake there either.
Maybe something is getting screwed up in the telnet translation of the % character ? Ray

Hi all
please tell me somebody why this passwrod Ct%16+X isn't accepted? Box is a Suse-Linux 7.3 kernel 2.4.10. Qpopper sais password not accepted. But according to man passwd it should be.
Thanks, Philipp
Hi;
I'm not sure. But, I see 2 apparent reasons:
1. spelling error 2. UID of user is <100 (as I recall Qpopper wont allow acces for UIDs
less than 100)
Hope it helps
Mikkel
