I can 'mount -t smbfs' on my Linux 7.2 but I can't write to those shares from Linux. They are shares on NT with ACL's and share permissions. All files appear to be owned by root on the Linux end, but I want to access and write to them from another account. If you want all users on the machine to write to the share, pass the options fmask=666 and dmasg=777 to the smbmount command. Other variant is to set the suid bit on smbmnt and smbumount and let the user mount the share himself.
