hi to all,

how do i have to configure sendmail to get sasl to work? i installed sendmail-tls with cyrus-sasl. but when i try to send mail i just get the message "Relaying denied".

1.)linux.mc :

TRUST_AUTH_MECH(`GSSAPI KERBEROS_V4 DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN DPA NTLM')
define(`confAUTH_MECHANISMS',`GSSAPI KERBEROS_V4 DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN DPA NTLM')
define(`confDEF_AUTH_INFO', `/etc/mail/auth')dnl
define(`confLOG_LEVEL',`10')dnl

2.) in /etc/mail -- create file: auth
admin
admin
ekfqhwd823923r12039dlqkLKDd
realm

3.) create users :
echo password | saslpasswd -p -c username -p -u realm

(can check with sasldblistusers)

4.)Remember clientside to say rever requires authentication
and some issues in using outlook to collect mail me off list
if using outlook.
