Now I did a line quality test at dslreports.com which is bacisly tracerouting and their reports show blabala routes 212.156.7.209 10.14.9.12 and then myip assigned by the isp which is 212.156.xxx.xxx ( so far no big deal since a dynamic ip but the rumor is next week we will be given static IP's) My question is AFAIK 10.0.0.0 class was private IP's and they should not be visible to the internet and hence was the reason for denying packets from the internet with source address of the private address. My understanding is 10.14.9.12 is the IP of my ADSL modem ( I could be wrong) If anyone can ping to the ADSL modem (with a private IP) basicly they can do other things also. I am using Alcatel Ant 1000 DSL modem and the connection is PPPOE. Is their anything I can do or is this ISP side solveable ? TIA -- Togan Muftuoglu
