Another thought would be that if Linus, Cox et all release soon Kernel 2.4 we could better live on the benefits of the new _netfilter_ which is much easier and complete than the current _ipchains_ and what we have today. And in almost 3 years the market would be completely different, and if you do not follow Linux you could be completely out of business. Those are my feelings.
