Look at /etc/protocols and get a book about TCP/IP :-) Or have a look at
www.rfc-editor.org/rfc.html and do a search for protocols like TCP, UDP or
ICMP or http://www.itprc.com/tcpipfaq/default.htm
(you may have also a look at
