Is this a reply to an e-mail sent to the opensuse-project list? I can't find such e-mail in my folder and neither can I find it in the mailing list archive.
There was an off topic thread in the opensuse@ support mailinglist which was discussing both the openSUSE website and the general direction of the Project
I asked the participants to relocate the discussion regarding the website to opensuse-web@opensuse.org, and the discussion about the Project to the appropriate mailinglist (this one)
In retrospect Felix probably should have broken with tradition and been more verbose in his quoting so newcomers to the thread could understand the context
Sorry about that. On a better day I would have. I was struggling to not get any further behind. :-p The need for where a quote came from to be made explicit to ever be a consideration highlights one of the disadvantages of openSUSE's large number of narrow focus mailing lists. Maybe moving [opensuse-factory] to the end of the subject line instead of deleting it would have been appropriate, but those thread replies that start Re: [opensuse-factory] Re: [opensuse-packaging] Re:... making subject lines longer than the space to display them make me crazy. I won't purposely create such.
The full thread is in the opensuse@ archive here: https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2017-10/msg00420.html
Richard's post I was replying to: https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2017-10/msg00453.html -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Whatever else you get, get wisdom."
