Basil Chupin *NOTE*: Please note that I am posting this message (as a FWD) also in the Offtopic list.
Roger, if your post was not of such a serious nature I would treat you as a joke, which you so richly deserve, but seeing how you maliciously posted your message in this mail list which is archived and accessible to whoever in the world wants to do a search and reads your slanderous accusation I have to respond here.
Where did you get the word "homophobic" from - the back of a candy wrapper? Do you really know what the word means? Have you looked up its meaning in a dictionary?
I sincerely hope that you can provide The Board - which Gupta is suggesting - with ample evidence where I "engage in homophobic rants on Off-Topic" in that list or other openSUSE lists, or in any other fora, or have ever done so at any time in the past.
In keeping with the fact that your post, Roger, was made in a public list, which is archived and made available to all search engines, I make this additional comment and ask a question directed at you:
I don't recall ever seeing any post from you in Offtopic until the question you asked me a few days ago (to which I replied with a simple, straightforward, sentence). So, you have been, what they call, "lurking" in Offtopic over whatever time period - but for what purpose?
But this is the real question I want to ask you:
What are you doing in Offtopic if you don't post there, and do you know what Offtopic is all about? You obviously do not know.
I already gave an indication about its nature above, but to make sure that you actually fully understand its nature, as its name implies it is "OFFTOPIC", ie anything which is frowned upon in other openSUSE mail lists is allowed to be posted and be discussed in Offtopic.
It is therefore for this reason that this Offtopic list is NOT archived by openSUSE itself nor by any organisation (which normally is allowed to archive internet mail).
The bottom line of what I just wrote is that if you don't like what is written and discussed in Offtopic or are unable to comprehend who said what to whom then UNSUBSCRIBE from that list!

Banga.gong is the one more engaged in homophobic talk. You are a more contemporary troll, simply making useless responses in the technical. lists.
Offtopic is a place for things that are not on topic such as conversations. In practice it is often a place for science denialism and politics, which though I don't like is well within the scope of the list. However, the advocacy that a minority group of people should be denied civil rights and liberties is not an appropriate use of the lists.
It should be noted that I am not the only one who has noticed these goings on and objected to them.
So I can take this as a wimpish attempt by you as a public apology to me
of your slanderous claim that I "engage in homophobic rants" as well as
admitting that you were unable to put to The Board evidence of such
rantings by me? Yes or no?
Now let's look at what else you stated.

I like that, "contemporary troll". Another term from the back of a
candy-wrapper? What is a "contemporary troll"?
If you have been paying attention at any time, I have always given
technical advice when responding to technical questions. *BUT*, I am no
angel! I HAVE made comments which are of the "non technical" nature -
and I am not the only one.
A 'minor' infringement of the purpose of the technical mail lists, but
does it require a public complaint which also includes a slanderous
statement that I have engaged in "homophobic rants"?
But you have singled me out in your "Mailing list trolls" post. Why?
I really would like a direct answer to my question as to why your have
singled me out.
Now let's look at the what else you stated above.

I think that you are having trouble with trying to explain to yourself -
as well as to me, and others for that matter - what "on topic" and "off
topic" really mean, aren't you?
"Such as conversations". What exactly does this mean? Every post even to
a technical question is a "conversation". Right now I am having a
"conversation" with you - and the rest of the people having access to
this list.
But never mind, let's press on.

Ah, so *YOU* don't like what is being stated/discussed/commented on,
right? *YOU* don't like it and so you complain in opensuse-project.
(But as I already stated, all you need to do is to UNSCRIBE to offtopic
if you what is posted there go against your personal beliefs.)
You also complained to The Board following Gupta's suggestion because
your post above has a CC: to
