Did it change?

Hello all!
I'm pleased to announce that the new Local Coordinator programme is coming together nicely.
After the Call for Volunteers, we had a total of 19 people step up and offer to be part of this new scheme to better coordinate our community work internationally.
From those volunteers, 12 were accepted as Local Coordinators. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, but in order to be effective, we're requiring that our Coordinators are openSUSE members so we can be sure they know their way around the project, know who to talk to for help, etc. A few of the 7 who we couldn't make Local Coordinators have since applied for openSUSE membership and I'm hopeful they'll be accepted and join the Local Coordinator Team in due course.
A list of the current Local Coordinators, as well as a detailed description of the programme, it's goals and how to join can be found on the Wiki[1]
You can also see a video of my presentation at oSC 13 on the topic[2]
So, what next?
First, we're still looking for more Local Coordinators. While I'm thrilled that our community in Europe and the Americas are well represented, I'm concerned that we currently don't have any Coordinators from Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, or Germany, which is surprising given how many community members we have in those areas. If you're interested in helping organise our project in your region, please read the Wiki article[1] and get in touch.
Second, we're going to be having our first Local Coordinators IRC meeting next week at 15:00 UTC on Tuesday 13th August in the #opensuse-marketing channel on irc.opensuse.org
Find out what time the meeting will be in your time-zone http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=24&month=7&year=2013&hour=15&min=00&sec=0
Everyone is welcome, the Agenda for this first meeting is primarily for our Local Coordinators to meet each other, and discuss how we're going to start the ball rolling properly. If you're interested in becoming a Local Coordinator, or curious about the programme, it would be a perfect opportunity to learn more.
Thanks, and remember, Have a lot of fun!
