hi all!
As you might have read on http://news.opensuse.org we've finished the strategy document. It's been voted on, our membership liked it so for now, that's it. Cool, good stuff. Next step is presumably to determine what we intend to _do_ with our strategy. Has anyone given that any thought already?
Sorry?
Doesn't one first have a GOAL in mind to start with and THEN goes about creating a STRATEGY, or a plan, on how to achieve that goal?
As far as I know, the next step (goal) is the ARM port and the establishment of an openSUSE Foundation.
How can one come up with a strategy without first knowing what it is meant to achieve and how it is going to be used? Otherwise why even go through the trouble of creating the "strategy"?
But then, what do I know.....
To all strategy-people: I´m glad that your paper is ready so far, and good luck with the goals. thanks -- Kim Leyendecker (kdl@k-dl.de.vu) openSUSE Ambassador, openSUSE Wiki Team DE HAVE A LOT OF FUN! http://www.opensuse.org Have you tried SUSE Studio?
