That project is a great change to improve ICC colour management experience on Linux.
It will help user to find ICC colour profiles for their specific colour
device configuration on request. It complements to the ongoing effort to ship ICC profiles together with print drivers or default profile repositories like on the ICC web site.

On a technical note, I would think the django/python combination for the web site appears as a good idea to me. Probably we can even place some of the extended device+driver to data set matching inside Python.

kind regards

developing for colour management www.behrmann.name + www.oyranos.org

PS: for people familiar with the WWW bound abbreviation of CMS, colour people expand that usually to Colour Management System.

4. MAKING OF WEB SITE.

The website part will be either in php/ python. Either it can be made
from scratch or can be made from other content management solutions
like drupal / joomla / django.

Main tasks performed here will be

1. Comments and rating of profiles

2. Display statistics for various profiles / hardware.

3. Getting the expert help.

4. Users can add new profiles to central database from here.

5. Users can download the best profile matching their device from here.
