I would suggest that you delete the emacs packages that are installed on your system and reinstalled them from the media again just to confirm that they are all the same revision and that they install correctly.
I tried all this and reinstalled ghostscript also. I still can't trace the problem. But it seems only to affect non-postscript printers where gs is used as an intermediate program. I got the code printed using a bw laser printer. For now, I'll probably use Kate for printing or else use bw. I occasionally want printing on colour and Kate is fine for that. -- JDL
