Well, that's pretty standard shell stuff - gcc is in /usr/bin, which the rpm command could have told you, obviously you're missing some major paths. If you followed the standard installation process this shouldn't be a problem, so I'm assuming you've either made some changes and need to go back and fix them, you had a bad install perhaps?
