I think you've answered your own question with the last 2 or 3
sentences. If you are still unsure, run memcheck or memtest from your
LILO screen. I think Linux may be quite a bit more sensitive to ram

I don't have LiLo set up yet. I boot off the installer right now. I
am planning to use quik when I firgue out how to properly use it. And,
I thought about that. However, when I have installed 2 of the original
FPM chips, the system will boot into linux, but X doesn't work. See,
the 7500 doesn't actually make use of the EDO memory. It reads it as
FPM. I will try to setup the system so that I can run memtest and see
if it fails.
