try this fsck /dev/yourpartition and when asked do you want to repair
filesystem answer yes .. do not run fsck with option such is -a -y
or some simillar

hallo,
i try to boot suse linux today and i receive:
activating swap-devices in /etc/fstab . . . failed . . . . fsck.ext2 /dev/sdc6 failed (status 8)! Run it manually! failed laoding keymap mac-us.map.gz failed
finally, after giving root password to login
(repair filesystem ) # 'blink'
i am still relatively new to this os ; however, i did try to source problem within manual with diffikulty.
any assistance very much appreciate.
