I don't see an SuSE rpm, or src rpm for Expect, so have the following questions and comments for an suse7.3ppc install. The Expect INSTALL instructions.. 1. suggest installing expect in /usr/local/src/ . This seems consistent with the SuSe directory tree (manual pg 335). 2. states that "the TCL source directory is assumed to be in the same directory as the Expect source directory". I installed TCL8.3 via SuSE rpms. rpms -q -i returns "tcl-8.3.3-44.src.rpm, build host "strawberry.suse.de" I presume I should create a symbolic link in /usr/local/src/ that points to /usr/src/packages/SOURCE yet the directory is empty. find / -name tcl* -print returns.. /usr/bin/tclsh /usr/bin/tclsh8.3 /usr/lib/tcl8.3 ... and a few other miscelaneous doc files. Should I uninstall TCL, and reinstall from a src rpm to get the source files? Is there an SuSE rpm for expect I missed somewhere? Thanks in advance, Torben
