I don't mean that it is your problem. Just you are one who create this new cool system and I think you are the one that have the best knowledge about it. Actually I don't remember who exactly add requirement for external rdoc ( but I know reason, because some gems use newer rdoc syntax, so rdoc fails with old rdoc ).
