I keep running into this issue when I try to update packages in 12.2. I'm following the instructions on the wiki (http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Package_maintenance), but when I get to the "osc mr" step I get a "Too few arguments" error. This is extremely frustrating as this error message is not at all helpful and I'm following the instructions on the wiki. Does anyone know what the problem is? This used to work for me. I'm running "osc mr" from the package directory of my branch.
I'm running openSUSE 12.1 with the latest updates installed.
jdmulloy@silicon:~/OBS/home:jdmulloy:branches:openSUSE:12.2:Update/branding-openSUSE.openSUSE_12.2_Update> osc mr -m 'Fixed KDM theme for users upgrading from <= 12.1 (bnc#781687)' Too few arguments. jdmulloy@silicon:~/OBS/home:jdmulloy:branches:openSUSE:12.2:Update/branding-openSUSE.openSUSE_12.2_Update>
which osc version do you use?
"osc mr" only works in "osc mbranch" directories correctly, perhaps try in ~/OBS/home:jdmulloy:branches:openSUSE:12.2:Update/ instead of the package directory.
but you can use osc mr SOURCEPROJECT SOURCEPACKAGES RELEASEPROJECT if you want to use a random source. For example osc mr home:jdmulloy:branches:openSUSE:12.2:Update package1 package2 .... openSUSE:12.2:Update Btw, using "osc branch -m" also prepares a maintenance update from a single package.
