Maybe it uses ffmpeg?
Nope, ffmpeg and mplayer were stripped using conditional tags. it's because i586 fail for weeks.
If so, let's have it in Packman.
I'm glad you can. here are some background information of it: * there's no commit since 0.8.1, released on 2010/08/12. this is the first and important thing. like "basket" note taking application, maybe the author switched interest to other fields, maybe he thought it's full featured( actually it is, I have not found any screen record software better than it even today, although personally I think that work could be integrated into Ksnapshot as a system level feature like GNOME do. but no one interest in, and I'm not capable to do it). * its recordmydesktop backend has some flaws. sometimes it records empty size videos. but as no updates in a year and half, I don't think there's any help reporting bugs upstream. but its ffmpeg and mplayer backends work perfectly, simple and strong. when I was fresh to OBS, I packaged those two as dependencies, but was suggested deleted. so I think it's really awesome if you can accept it in Packman, make it solely depends on ffmpeg and mplayer, then it's a perfect app again. I packaged here just want to provide some "possibility" of screen recording for our users( the random zero size thing is random) personally I have no packman account, unfortunately. packman needs email authorization, and has a famous bug: <code> OBS Web Interface Error: Error Details: Errorcode: unknown Message: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <status code="err_register_save"> <summary>Could not save the registration
