Doesn't that make the fastboot people cry? What about using a simple configuration file format like in /etc/permissions and have a while/read loop or a small C program do the actual job? That would potentially also allow to natively integrate the feature into other boot methods that don't rely on scripts. well, actually I was thinking about the read loop initially. For one I was scared it would be slower than script snippets and the snippets do offer more flexibility. If you think all we will ever need there is really "installl -d -m $mode -u $user -g $group $dir"

Note that the actual implementation in boot.cleanup currently also executes backup files like *.rpmnew etc.
good point, will fix that as soon as the above question is settled. -- with kind regards (mit freundlichem Grinsen), Ruediger Oertel (ro@novell.com,ro@suse.de,bugfinder@t-online.de) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Linux MacBookRudi.suse.de 2.6.34-rc5-6-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2010-04-22 21:18:20 +0200 x86_64 Key fingerprint = 17DC 6553 86A7 384B 53C5 CA5C 3CE4 F2E7 23F2 B417 SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
