Unable to resume after powersave --standby

Hi, We are running SuSE 9.1 with kernel version 2.6.5-7.71 on Compaq nx5000 HP laptop. My laptop entered into standby mode using the following command. #powersave --standby The command worked fine. After 2 to 3 seconds it was entered into standby mode. But I was unable to find the way to resume back my laptop. Only I was able get the system back by doing power off and on. Please tell me is there any way to resume my laptop without power off and on after entering into the standby mode. Please help me in this regard. Thanks and regards, Srinivas G
