The openSUSE-Project have the slogan "Have a lot of fun", haven´t it? I think the slogan should be in the logo. Maybe under the "openSUSE". If you open the picture I send with this mail, you see my idea. Yes, the logo is really little, but I think, their´s a good marketing team;)
Partly I agree with you, but partly don't. The slogan "Have a lot of fun!" should be much more spread to the world. However, we can combine the logo and the slogan as needed by now - that means, we can select the font, size, color and geometry of the slogan on a case-by-case basis. Don't you think it is much more flexible than 'static combined logo'? Creating a 'static combined logo' in addition to the normal logo might be an option. But in that case, we have to ask permission first. http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Artwork_brand#Things_to_Avoid It is mentioned that 'Combine with other elements to form derivate logos' is 'Improper Logo Use'. # BTW, I think those rules are intended for third parties outside # openSUSE project/community and not appropriate for us when we want to # use the logo for promoting openSUSE and related efforts. Best, P.S.
