Hi,

UTUMI Hirosi
さんは書きました: uim-{pinyin,hangul,viqr} are not well tested. I think they should be covered by uim-m17nlib. You know m17nlib includes pinyin/hangul/viqr engines, and Handa-san (the author of m17nlib) is a cool developer.
But that is the same argument as "disable m17n support in uim because m17n support in scim is better".
?? I heard "scim-m17n and scim-uim-m17n will confuse beginners, so we removed uim-m17n".
scim-m17n works just fine and supporting m17n in uim as well is therefore not necessary and only makes it more confusing for beginners.
You didn't say "scim-m17n is better than uim-m17n". (see "as well") I think scim-m17n is better than uim-m17n, but uim doesn't support scim-m17n.
I think this one is better for SUSE 10.1: uim-module-manager --register anthy m17nlib skk
I think for SuSE 10.1, I'll split several new sub-packages out of the main uim package:
After you do it, you'll see looong uim.spec. :-p I had done it in Mandriva 2005, but I merged modules again in Mandriva 2006.
Usually I try to enable *everything* in the hope to make everybody happy.
Extra things cause extra bugs. I prefer simple specs/things. I want to keep specs simple for other packagers. Or no one can help to update them. Anyway you can do it, but you need to take care of yourself. :-) Thanks. Hirosi __________________________________ Save the earth http://pr.mail.yahoo.co.jp/ondanka/
