"Shin, Jong-Hwa"
I have just installed 8.2. There must be significant changes since 8.0. First of all, I could not properly see Korean menu in Lyx-cjk, although I tried to follow Dr. Fabian's SuSE-CJK instructions. I downloaded Korean fonts and related packages...
Please let me know what is wrong to me. Thank you in advance.
It works for me with the settings as described in
http://www.suse.de/~mfabian/suse-cjk/cjk-lyx-korean.html
When calling lyx-cjk like
LC_ALL=ko_KR lyx-cjk /usr/share/doc/packages/cjk-lyx/example-korean-cjk-latex.lyx
I see Korean in the menus and can correctly view the DVI and
PostScript output.
Everything seems to work fine until clicking on the "Exit" menu, then
lyx-cjk dumps core. But this is only annoying, apart from that it
works and if the document was changed the dialog offering to save the
document comes before the core dump and properly saves the document.
As the core dump indicates, cjk-lyx-1.3.0 in SuSE 8.2 may be more
buggy then the versions from previous SuSE Linux versions though.
Because of the update to xforms-1.0 in SuSE 8.2, cjk-lyx had to be
updated as well and cjk-lyx-1.3.0 was released very late, just in time
to be included in SuSE 8.2. I was happy that I could make it work at
all after a lot of fiddling. But apart from the core dump on exit it
appears to work for me.
I'll make an update of the cjk-lyx package for SuSE Linux 8.2 soon, if
possible using the Qt frontend instead of xforms.
Until I have the update ready, you can try to use the cjk-lyx rpm from
SuSE Linux 8.1 on SuSE Linux 8.2 if the package from SuSE Linux 8.2
absolutely refuses to work for you.
