Please tell me about this problem. I might be able to help you. I hardly use GMONE and Mozilla on the Linux. (But I use Netspape 6(6.2.1) on the MS-Windows.)
I usually use KDE(and Konqueror) on the Linux.
Let's see... I'm running Galeon 1.0.3/Mozilla 0.98. I basically cannot input into any Japanese text box which shows up in the browser. I am able, however, to input Japanese into Galeon's own text boxes for system settings, etc. The problem seems to lie with Mozilla. I'm going to try the newest version of Mozilla. Another possible problem is that I think I used RedHat rpms on my SuSE install.
Why don't you try the SuSE rpms for Mozilla and Galeon then? I tested them on SuSE Linux 7.3 and SuSE Linux 8.0 and Japanese input always worked fine.
I'm going to try again with the newest version of Galeon/Mozilla.
