Hi, I decided to try out the rt kernel as the description says optimized for desktop
Last time I talked to Novell guys in person they mentioned their target is rather servers than desktops.
Yeah, I think this is just the RT guys not changing the description. It is _not_ optimized for the desktop. It's optimized for very low latency server loads, which comes with some trade-offs, most notably that throughput drops. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAktXIV8ACgkQLPWxlyuTD7IFDgCfefARq3Lhp/r3EQT1hlRFDPmq 20AAnApRzQ1Bh1crTpyrgAIrU/SZNKD9 =/TUn -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
