Hello Felix and Leslie,
I have bought brand new box at my office and installed openSUSE
Leap 42.2 with TDE today. First, I copied my home directory from
old box, then I logged in TDE.
But TDE has run KPersonalizer which was same as one we saw first
time login KDE. It seems to not be migrated automatically because
all of configurations were set to default.
Anyway, I will do same settings and ask trinity-users mailing list
if I have any questions. Thank you so much!
Regards,
koga

The only thing I remember for sure is that TDE will not disturb anything in ~/.kde. Whether it will read from it I don't remember. I remember copying ~/.kde to ~/.trinity, but not what resulted. Ask on the [trinity-users] mailing list if you can't find an answer on the TDE wiki or irc://freenode/#trinity-desktop and no one here has a better answer.
I believe that Trinity will copy from ~/.kde if it finds no ~/.trinity, and it also has some migration scripts that run at the first-time invocation of TDE to migrate some settings on a once-per-user basis.
