Hi there,
Are there anyone using KDE3 on openSUSE Leap 42.2? Is it works? I found KDE3 repository[1] however I could not find 1-click install button on KDE3 wiki[2].

Hello Koga,
I tryed to install 42.2 on 42.1+KDE3, requiring update. It did not work. I did not repport any bug because this occured exactly when an hard disk died ! Anyway, i will not try again as long as the KDE3 One click Install is not proposed.
Sincerly,
Patrick
See my earlier post to Koga, Most likely all you need to do is manually choose the: kdebase3-workspace kdebase3-session packages for install. There are missing rpm dependencies somewhere that should pull those in by default any time kde/kdm are installed. Without those packages, you will get kded segfaults on attempting to launch kde. After installing Leap_42.2 fresh from the NET iso yesterday and updating yast (sysconfig) to set DISPLAYMANAGER="kdm3" (I think my last post had that backwards -- getting old) and set the default Window Manager DEFAULT_WM="kde" You will be golden. If you like, you can simply edit (as root) and set those values in the following two files /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager /etc/sysconfig/windowmanager -- David C.
