Well, it's only a "cure" for something insofar as that you get updates sooner from there, before they get tested and submitted to Tumbleweed. But exactöy this also means that things can break, although we of course try our best to prevent that.
Yep, i'm sure that was the case and everything has been pretty stable since then so i'm happy to stick with my set up as it is now.
And it is of course the only possibility to get the latest versions for stable distributions like 13.2 or Leap. In Tumbleweed you will get the exact same in the main repo, just some time later.
