lspci reports onboard XGI Z7/Z9 (XG20 core) video With prior kernel, desktop-4.1.6, kdebase4-workspace's plasma-desktop session aborted cleanly on finding krandr (for whatever reason?) not installed. After installing and booting current kernel, default 4.2.3, attempting to start X totally locked up video, requiring CAD to do anything more. Since discovering and correcting missing krandr, X works normally with current kernel (and SIS XF86 driver). Only two lines contain string krandr in /var/log/zypp/history (dating back 21 months), both dated today, 4 seconds apart, last 2 lines in file. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
