I know and I have already looked into that, but can't find a way to update it to a newer version. And the project seems to be abandoned.
The ffmpeg devs will always advise you to build from source, anyway, to ensure that you have the latest security (and other) fixes and updates. It moves pretty quickly and packaged versions don't always keep pace with development (it very much depends on the packager). Nevertheless, I get it that not everyone likes to do that. I wrote a (rough) shell script to get the latest version from git, configure and built it, but it's specific to my needs and has little or no error-checking in it, so it's definitely not fit for public consumption, but just to point out that the process does not have to be difficult. -- ============================================================== Rodney Baker VK5ZTV rodney.baker@iinet.net.au ============================================================== -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
