I got send a .pptx File

If it is dolphin/konqueror then it is becuase you have it configured that way.
On my system (13.1/KDE 4.11.5), Okular is also the default app associated with .pptx. I tried all the .pptx files on my system (12), and everyone of them crashed Okular on startup. However I found this blog post, and one of the commenters claims Okular does open pptx for him: http://tsdgeos.blogspot.dk/2012/01/okular-014-released.html I wonder if some buildtime/runtime dependency for Okular is missing on openSUSE? This is exactly one of those little polish issues, which have a pretty big impact on the user experience, and which are probably fairly easy to fix. I once made a collection of the 20-30 most common file types, and checked what happened when simply clicking each of them in KDE on every openSUSE beta - actually quite often the mime-type associations are pretty bad, meaning that supported file types don't open, or open in undesirable apps. Maybe I should start doing that again when testing 13.2. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
