Hi all, I just had something *really* disturbing happen: I login to my machine, and I get to see a completely fresh, clean KDE desktop... And a totally empty ~ Background: User accounts are from NIS, home directories are from a central server by means of NFS4 and automounter. Sometimes, the automounter doesnt start properly, and so there is no user home directory. Usually in such a case, KDE would bail out with a message saying it can't access the home directory. But now it CREATES a new home directory instead! I can see the possible benefit/rationale behind it (Logging in using ADS credentials, but no access to the windows home folder / not wanting all that "linux junk" in it), but where can i switch that OFF? I'd rather have the error message than the "OMG all my files are gone" moment. Any ideas?
