You have to switch to upstream branding to get tumbleweed to work, that's a long-standing issue that I do not know how to resolve. Try doing that to see if it solves your issue.
Hi Greg, Based on the issue reported, I had a look at the Tumbleweed repository. The first thing that I noticed is that the required branding packages for KDE (kde-branding-openSUSE and kdebase4-openSUSE) are both set to unresolvable. Checking further this is caused as that the package desktop-data-openSUSE is expecting a wallpaper-branding 13.1 version. Which in the Tumbleweed repository will never happen as that your branding package (branding-openSUSE) is version 13.2. I assume that this is causing the issue with regards to the branding packages. Two ways to resolve it: 1) Include the desktop-data-openSUSE package into the Tumbleweed repository and bump the version to 13.2 (At this moment you could take the package from Factory) 2) Keep the branding-openSUSE package at the correct version of 13.1 and only bump the versioning here with every real openSUSE update. I guess at this moment option 1 would be the easiest and fastest, but in the future it might be good to keep the branding packages at the original version. This should resolve at least the issue with the KDE branding packages and most likely it should also resolve the issue with the gnome branding packages.
