Ok, we can co-operate :) I have reinstalled my whole system to openSuSE 12.1 x86_64 with formatting root partition. The error remained.
Could you install the glibc package from openSUSE Factory from my project: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/a_jaeger:/my-factory- packages/openSUSE_Factory/ Just update the glibc package, nothing else and tell me whether that one works. Please send me your /proc/cpuinfo as well as uname -a output.
