Hi,
better drop an email to Raymond... it may need more magic that just ksecretservice submitted to KU... he is in #opensuse-kde
Well, currently the status around ksecretservice is not really that know, but see below statement : --- Loading/Using Ksecretservice is supposed to happen with a plugin, yes. that has not yet been implemented. what is in the branch right now is code that can be built if ksecretservice is available. which means right now to make it work one needs to build kdelibs, ksecreteservice, then kdelibs again. --- There is a RC1 tarball available for ksecrets, but I wonder what people really want to do with it. It seems that the indicated plugin method will be implemented in KDE 4.9. For openSUSE it would be nearly impossible to utilize the indicated buildmethod to build first kdelibs, then ksecretservice and then to build kdelibs again but then with ksecretservice as a buildrequire. No other application is utilizing ksecretservice yet and also the necessary patches to activate ksecretservice through the systemsettings (kwallet, etc) are missing from kdeutils. If people really want to have this tarball and re-compile kdelibs themselves, then I am more than happy to provide it, but my recommendation would be to forget about ksecretservice at this moment and it will come with KDE 4.9 Regards Raymond -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
