Dear All, I have the following scenario: I am using KDE and my wife is using Gnome. As a DM we use KDM. Now, from KDE I can switch user to Gnome, but not the other way around, as Gnome wants GDM, which I don't want to use (I prefer KDM). I am experimenting with a program called kdm-gdmcompatibility http://opensource.fsmi.uni-karlsruhe.de/projects/kdm-gdmcompat/ , but it seems not to be working with Gnome 3.2. So, I would like to be able to do the following: - either run a KDM instance on v7 and a GDM one on vt8 at boot, so I can use one to log into KDE and the other to log into Gnome. - or, it this is not possible, to run two KDM instances on vt7 and vt8 , and switch between them using CTRL+ALT. Can anyone tell me please if it is possible to achieve any of these options and how (I guess this should be put into an X configuration file)?
